Tom Lang
Athletic Director
16th year at camp
2008 marks Tom’s 16th year at Laurel overseeing our 50-person Athletics Department. A former Big East basketball player at Georgetown, Tom is a PE teacher and high school basketball coach in Frederick County, Maryland.
He is joined each summer by wife Stacey and their four boys. Camping’s finest AD is a true professional and seasoned coach. |

John Taylor
Assistant Athletic Director
3rd year at camp
“JT” is a history teacher and boys and girls high school basketball coach at the Baylake Pines School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A graduate of Old Dominion University, JT works closely with Tom to manage the many facets of our Athletics Program. He also takes an active role in facilitating tournament and inter-camp competition with neighboring Maine camps. A serious sports fan, JT proudly howls with the NC State Wolfpack. |

Larry Karageanes
Tennis Director
6th year at camp
Larry operates his own tennis teaching and consulting service in Durham, North Carolina. His company, jobeasier.com, has emerged as one of the leading online resources for both professionals and coaches. Larry was formerly the Head Pro at the Treyburn Country Club in North Carolina and the Director of Tennis at the Sea Pines Racquet Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina. This is Larry’s 6th consecutive summer overseeing our 20-person tennis staff. |

Holly Williams
Waterfront Director
29th year at camp
A biology teacher and coach at the St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, Holly makes sure safety and fun are the hallmarks of our waterfront. With a Masters from Syracuse University, she oversees our swim, small crafts and waterski, under the direction of our waterfront department heads. Holly grew up as a camper at Laurel and met her husband, Warren, at camp in 1980. |

Kevin Sinnett
Assistant Waterfront Director
2nd year at camp
A graduate of the US Naval Academy, Kevin is a “man of the sea” and the perfect complement to Holly in overseeing and managing our waterfront. He is just as comfortable on land, having been drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1979 NBA Draft following a stand-out college career with the Midshipmen. Kevin is joined at camp by his wife, Doreen, our Health Center Coordinator. Kevin and Doreen are the proud parents of three girls. |

Zack Pettijohn
Adventure/Inter Arts Director
8th year at camp
Zack teaches art and adventure in Aztec, New Mexico. He graduated Drury College and oversees our adventure program, comprised of Climbing, High Ropes, Mountain Biking and Tripping. Zack also manages our Inter Arts department. He ensures each aspect of our highly structured adventure and arts programs are safe, exciting and fun. |

Pam Payson
Equestrian Director
3rd year at camp
In her current role as the IHSA Colby Sawyer Equestrian Coach, Pam has more than 25 years experience running equestrian programs from the beginner to the elite levels. A former polo player and graduate of the University of Connecticut, Pam raises horses and manages her own horse farm in conjunction with her coaching duties at Colby Sawyer. This is Pam’s 3rd summer running our equestrian program. |
