Paige YiAlgona, IADepartment Head
Paige graduated Southwest Minnesota State with a secondary education degree. She loves all things hiking, camping and kayaking. A standout counselor in 2016, Paige led Outdoor Tripping in 2017 and returns to that role after a sabbatical in ’18. So great to have this seasoned adventure aficionado with us! Welcome back, Paige!
Megan LuthPaso Robles, CA 
A Northern Arizona University graduate, Megan is a California native returning to Laurel for summer #3. She’s been camping and hiking since a very young age, and has experience working with kids in the classroom. Excited for Megan’s third summer.
Madison HanleySeattle, WA 
Business administration junior at Chapman University, Madison grew up hiking throughout the Cascade Mountain range. She’s explored Banff National Park, the Fjords in Norway and led a teenage trip in Yosemite. Madison has worked as a dance instructor and volunteered with high schoolers.
Laurel McGertyHarrison Township, MI 
Laurel graduated Albion College with a psychology and exercise science degree. A true camping veteran, Laurel worked three summers at a Michigan camp leading overnight trips and hikes. Thrilled to welcome Laurel to Laurel.
Angie PappasDelran, NJ 
East Stroudsburg University junior recreation services major, Angie is on her university gymnastics team. She’s led trips for the outing club and has a big passion for field hockey. Welcome Angie!
Sam SilsbyManchester, VT 
Sam is an aspiring NOLS instructor studying adventure education at Plymouth State. He’s been excited about joining the Laurel team ever since his sister Liz worked with us in 2012. Sam’s done multiple NOLS expeditions and worked as a zip line instructor. A perfect fit for the Laurel team.
Tomos WilliamsGreentown, PA 
Temple University senior, Tomos was an All-American swimmer in high school. Previously worked as a wilderness instructor at a day camp in Ithaca. Captained his high school ultimate frisbee team and made the Pittsburgh junior national team. We’re excited to welcome Tomos to Maine!
Jake GrenierMilwaukee, WI 
Jake was an army medic for four years and is now a Colorado Mesa University student. He grew up hiking and camping. Jake plays for Colorado Mesa’s ultimate frisbee team and coaches middle school ultimate frisbee. Welcome, Jake!
Steven TannerCave Creek, AZ 
An Apache Specialist in 2014, Steven couldn’t resist the opportunity to return to Laurel. Currently works at the Four Seasons in Arizona and has won multiple awards for his professionalism and customer service. An outdoor enthusiast; he enjoys hiking, climbing and bouldering. Thrilled to welcome Steven back!
Ricky LopezPullman, MI 
Ricky recently completed a 94-day camping program throughout Utah. A Florida South Western student, he was heavily involved in theatre productions throughout high school. Ricky loves hiking, campfires and mountain biking.
