Dear Laurel Family:
What a DYNAMITE summer! From the wonderful Opening Campire when Geoff, Robo,
Lee and Shanden jammed to the traditional tune Wagon Wheel...all the way to Bago’s
touching rendition of In My Mind I’ve Gone to Kennebago at the Final Ceremony...

Music, both past and present, really set the tone for the excitement and energy that
highlighted the summer of 2010. Who could forget Julius C bringing the Theatre Lawn to Baby Tess’s
new levels of excitement just prior to the College Days Break? And what about the sibling summer

duo of Alex and Jack Kirshenbaum with their Talent Show rendition of Falling Slowly? Frosh
and Junior Acadia and Apache bringing the Hockey Arena to their feet with Accidentally in
Crafts. The Redwoods, with Ellery W. on guitar, singing a beautiful verson of Lean On Me.
It was a magical summer...and the memories and music of 2010 will help us through the
long winter days when we are thinking of Maine with the Laurel family. Soon it will be June
25th and we’ll be sitting around the Council Fire celebrating the beginning of another camp
season. Thinking of everyone...and counting down the minutes until we are together again!
DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’...and always keep the Laurel spirit alive!
