A true Laurel stalwart, Tom joins us for his 23rd year as Laurel’s Head of Metals. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and his MFA from Indiana University. Tom teaches drawing, painting, darkroom photography, and sculpture at Maranacook High School in Maine. His art has been exhibited throughout the USA, South Korea, New Zealand and Canada. We’re thrilled to welcome Addison as our Ceramics Department Head this summer! Addison earned her BFA in Ceramics from Ohio State and completed her MFA in Ceramics at Temple University this spring. Addison brings extensive experience teaching ceramics and running studios. A lifelong artist who grew up working with clay, Addison will bring incredible creativity, warmth and energy to the studio, along with exciting ideas for camper projects and skill development. Our campers are in amazing hands with Addison this summer!

Chef B ushers in an exciting new era at ChefCamp this summer! A Cordon Bleu graduate, Chef B has built an impressive culinary career as an executive chef, consultant and restaurant opener in Boston, Charleston, New Orleans, Colorado and more. Along the way, he worked with the acclaimed Besh Restaurant Group and alongside celebrity chef Kristen Kish. A Memphis native and former First Team All-State basketball player, Chef B also taught PE and coached basketball in Colorado. We’re thrilled to experience everything Chef B is cooking up this summer!

Ellie returns for her second summer in Laurel’s Inter-Arts Alley! A graduate of The University of Leeds, Ellie earned her degree in Fine Art and is excited to lead our Arts and Crafts and Studio Art programs again. She has experience working with a variety of artistic mediums including gouache, acrylic, watercolor and oil paint as well as graphite and charcoal. An avid crafter, Ellie enjoys creating book bindings, embroidery, wall hangings and textile crafts. We can’t wait to see the wonderful masterpieces Ellie and our crafty campers create this summer!
